Qualifications

• MD required with 1 year experience in Forensic Pathology.
• Knowledge of forensic examinations, autopsies and identification procedures.
• Must obtain/maintain Texas medical license and ABP certifications.
• Ability to testify in court and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs external examinations and autopsies and prepares reports on findings.
• Analyzes data from firearm and toxicology investigations to determine cause and manner of death.
• Testifies in local, State and Federal court as an expert medical witness.
• Signs death certificates and documents evidence.
• Provides medical information to law enforcement, attorneys, judges and the public.
