Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center’s College of Nursing seeks a Program Manager for Forensic Outreach to oversee FNE/SANE education funding and related outreach projects at Bryan, TX.

You will manage day-to-day activities, coordinate participant applications and licensure verification, schedule courses, and report to the Director.

This grant-funded role may require beyond-hours work and travel; future employment depends on funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of related experience coordinating/managing programs, planning, scheduling and coordinating events.
• Experience coordinating/managing projects.
• Experience coordinating/managing events.
• Knowledge of word processing, slide presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Managing, teaching, and implementation of Outreach Program Plans; organizes and manages day-to-day activities for FNE/SANE education funding/grants and other forensic outreach projects.
• Interacts with participants in education and outreach programs to respond to questions and inquiries.
• Manages participant database.
• Attends and participates in team meetings.
• Prepares and presents reports on continuing education programs offered and to funders as required.
• Develops and maintains competency in specialized software platforms maintained by forensic nursing.
• May supervise program support staff and student assistants.
• Coordinating the planning of trainings, workshops and conferences.
• Maintain supplies and materials necessary for simulation experiences.
