Job summary

Seacrest Behavioral Health is seeking a qualified RN for the SANE Program to provide medical forensic exams, assessments, specimen collection, and documentation for adult and adolescent sexual assault survivors in emergency and inpatient settings.

The role requires collaboration with physicians, law enforcement, advocates, and legal professionals, delivering compassionate, non-judgmental care while adhering to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Certification in AA SANE training through the Illinois Attorney General’s Office or equivalent.
• Experience in forensic nursing is preferred.
• Computer literacy, including Epic software, or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic collections, assessments, and documentation following professional standards.
• Participate in peer reviews, meetings, and ensure compliance with legal and clinical guidelines.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including law enforcement, victim advocates, and hospital staff.
• Attend courtroom proceedings related to sexual assault cases.
