Job summary

County of Riverside's Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley seeks a Per Diem Registered Nurse III MC/CHC to serve as a Forensic Examiner in the SAFE clinic. The RN performs evidentiary exams for interpersonal violence cases, including documentation and evidence collection.

Travel to court may be required. Ideal candidates have at least four years as an RN in acute care, California licensure, BLS, and SAN/E examiner training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California RN license.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Completion of an approved Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training within 6 months of hire.
• Per Diem RN position with night shift and potential court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and provide nursing care as directed.
• Assist physicians in treatments, exams, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Administer medications and document treatments; report changes.
• Counsel patients and families on medical issues and post-care steps.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
