Job summary

County of Riverside's Riverside University Health System Medical Center seeks an experienced RN III-MC/CHC for the Sexual Assault and Forensic Evaluation clinic in Moreno Valley. The Forensic Examiner conducts evidentiary exams, documents findings, collects evidence, and plans patient care per CA Nurse Practice Act and clinic protocols.

Requirements include CA RN license, CA driver’s license, AHA BLS, and SAN/EN exam training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license to practice in California.
• CA Driver's License.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and care for patients under established protocols.
• Assist in evidentiary examinations including documentation and evidence collection.
• Perform phlebotomy and forensic photography as part of examinations.
• Develop care plans and discharge planning with follow-up recommendations.
• Coordinate with physicians and other staff to ensure integrated patient care.
• Provide orientation or training to junior staff when needed.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and act as team lead when required.
• Triage patients and manage clinic flow to optimize care delivery.
• Testify in court regarding patient condition when required.
• Coordinate hospital care with physicians, nurses, and payors to ensure quality and cost-effective care.
