Job summary

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in New York City is seeking a Forensic Mortuary Technician to support autopsy operations and mortuary services. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of full-time mortuary/autopsy experience.
• For higher levels, additional years of experience with supervisory duties.
• Preferred candidates have strong organizational, communication, and CMS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assists in autopsy exams and postmortem procedures.
• Coordinates with faculty to support training of fellows, residents, students, and staff.
• Liaises with NYPD, FDNY, NYCEM and mortuary staff to coordinate operations.
