Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or higher with P.E. licensing.
• 2–10+ years in mechanical systems, failure analysis, or forensic engineering.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and related systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with clients.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents to identify origin, failure mechanism, and root cause.
• Provide oral and written reports of findings; support potential testimony.
• Inspect sites, machinery, equipment, and systems; retrieve data for analysis.
• Evaluate codes, standards, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Conduct safety, product liability, and design analyses; guide client decisions.
• Prepare scopes-of-work, budgets, and schedules; present to management.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver findings.
