Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials science or related discipline required.
  • 5+ years of experience in materials analysis, failure analysis, or investigations.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and failure mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with SEM/EDS and optical microscopy and specimen prep.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct forensic investigations involving field work and lab examinations.
  • Prepare technical reports and provide expert testimony as needed.
  • Develop testing protocols and evaluate competing failure hypotheses.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and material specifications to support findings.
