Job summary

Soft Tox is seeking a Forensic Scientist III (LIMS Administrator) in Maryland to oversee the operational administration of the LIMS, configure and upgrade software, manage users, and generate reports to minimize backlogs and improve turnaround times.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field and at least three years of experience in comparative analysis or evidence evaluation, with potential substitutions per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, genetics, medical technology, or related physical, natural or forensic science from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in comparative analysis or scientific evaluation of evidence including experience providing testimony as an expert witness in moot or criminal court.

Responsibilities

• Administration of LIMS, maintaining user management and SOPs.
• Monitor Case Management within the division and ensure efficiency.

• Compile and report data captured within LIMS for backlogs and turnaround times.
