Job summary

Robson Forensic is seeking an Forensic Engineering Laboratory Technician to manage evidence intake and operate specialized instrumentation in Lancaster, PA. You will support field investigations and ensure proper chain-of-custody for all samples.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work onsite with occasional field assignments. A clean background and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field required.
• Proficiency in MS Office; MATLAB, CAD, and 3D printing desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment is desirable.
• Onsite lab work with occasional field assignments.
• Clean background screen and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rigorous chain-of-custody for all samples from field collection through laboratory testing and final disposition.
• Maintain, inspect, and replenish all field investigation equipment including cameras, lighting, PPE, evidence collection kits, and scene documentation tools.
• Photograph evidence and laboratory work systematically for inclusion in investigation reports and demonstrative exhibits.
• Manage laboratory equipment calibration schedules, equipment maintenance programs, and capital equipment procurement planning.
• Assist with equipment calibration verification, maintenance logs, and calibration record-keeping.
• Maintain laboratory workspace cleanliness, organization, equipment logs, and safety compliance per laboratory safety plan and OSHA requirements.
• Other related projects as needed.
