Robson Forensic, Inc. in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Laboratory and Field Investigator to support testifying engineers by installing, configuring and troubleshooting vehicle data acquisition systems, capturing sensor data and managing test setups.

The role blends hands-on electrical and mechanical work with data analysis, scene documentation, photography, measurements and EDR data extraction, with travel and growth toward the Professional Engineer exam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active E.I.T. license preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documenting scenes through photography, videography, field notes, sketches and diagrams.
• Provide lab/field test equipment installation support and data acquisition system setup.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain lab/field testing equipment per calibration schedules.
• Conduct scene documentation including field measurements, photography, 3D laser scanning and drone photogrammetry.
• Monitor bus messages on vehicles to support testing; set up and calibrate data acquisition systems.
• Maintain proficiency with lab software (schematic capture, PCB layout tools, MATLAB/Simulink, CAD) and embedded development tools.
• Inspect and replenish field investigation equipment including cameras, PPE, and evidence tools.
• Perform on-site inspections and field data collection; ~10% travel.
• Other related projects as needed.
