Robson Forensic, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Laboratory & Field Investigator to join the Lancaster, PA team.

The role centers on supporting testifying experts by documenting scenes, collecting measurements, performing 3D laser scanning, and extracting data from event recorders to analyze crash mechanics. The position offers mentorship toward professional engineering licensure, exposure to multiple project types, and regular onsite work with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• Active E.I.T. license preferred, not required.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MATLAB, CAD, laser scanning, data collection, and 3D printing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab and field-testing equipment.
• Conduct scene documentation: measurements, photography, 3D laser scanning, drone photogrammetry.
• Extract EDR/Black Box data from vehicles and interpret outputs for crash mechanics.
• Maintain proficiency with reconstruction software and 3D scene modeling tools.
• On-site inspections and field data collection with occasional travel.
