Job summary

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is seeking a Forensic Auditor in the Financial Investigative Services Division (FISD) to support criminal investigations with comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.

qualifications include a degree with accounting hours or equivalent experience, and specialized experience in forensic accounting, investigations, leadership, and producing formal reports for auditees and investigators.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or auditing with 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 in business law).
• Alternatively, 4 years of accounting experience plus related coursework or credentials.
• Specialized experience must include forensic accounting, financial investigations, leadership, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Apply forensic accounting and auditing techniques to investigations.
• Lead financial assignments and teams to deliver findings.
• Develop reports and work products in compliance with standards and present findings to investigators and prosecutors.
• Ensure resume supports responses to qualification requirements.
