Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a qualified professional to conduct site inspections, forensic investigations, and expert witness work for building, engineering, and construction matters. The role involves evaluating failures, reviewing drawings, and presenting defensible opinions to clients and counsel.

Hybrid role with opportunities in Los Angeles or San Diego; candidates from engineering or architecture backgrounds with licensure and strong writing skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Forensic engineering or architecture background required.
• Expert witness experience is required.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience developing and defending technical opinions.
• PE, SE, or RA licensure strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and forensic investigations.
• Evaluate failures, damage, defects, and building conditions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Perform technical analyses and develop opinions.
• Prepare clear and defensible forensic reports.
• Support litigation and dispute-related assignments.
• Participate in depositions and/or provide expert testimony.
• Present technical findings to clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
