Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide forensics and consulting services for insurance, legal, and industrial clients. The role involves determining causation of electrical failures, drafting written findings, and potentially testifying as an expert witness.

Candidates will manage multiple projects, oversee design changes, ensure quality, and mentor junior staff while maintaining compliance with electrical codes and standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering/consulting.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic electrical engineering assignments within scope and budget.
• Investigate causes and origins of electrical defects. Provide written reports.
• Support fire investigation experts to determine electrical causes.
• Produce client-ready forensic reports and testimony when needed.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with team to deliver on time.
• Utilize testing, drafting, and design tools; adhere to codes and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop client relationships.
