Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide forensic consulting services for insurance, legal, and industrial clients.

You will assess causes and origins of electrical failures, prepare oral and written reports, and may provide expert testimony. The position offers a salary range of $119,700 to $179,500, depending on education, experience, location, and licensure, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering required.
• P.E. license required.
• 2–10+ years of field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze electrical engineering issues for claims and legal matters.
• Conduct field investigations to determine cause and origin of failures.
• Prepare oral and written reports; provide opinions and testimony when needed.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with other experts to deliver client reports on time.
• Ensure Rimkus policies, procedures, and safety requirements are followed.
• Apply electrical engineering equations, analyses, and design tools to support findings.
• Review land use laws and regulations relevant to cases.
• Develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships.
• Document site conditions with photos, tests, and historical records; support field/lab work.
