Job Responsibilities

1. Investigate causes of failures, damages, or defects in electrical systems and components across industrial, commercial, and residential sites. Analyze failures, determine causes, evaluate construction quality, and review design and maintenance procedures.
2. Conduct field investigations, lead multi-party examinations, and document damaged property.
3. Research failure modes, code requirements, and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements as needed.
4. Prepare accurate, clear, and comprehensive reports detailing opinions and conclusions for clients.
5. Participate in multidisciplinary teams on large and complex assignments.
6. Maintain relationships with current clients and consultants.
7. Stay updated on company policies and participate in ongoing training to ensure skills remain current.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with over 5 years of experience evaluating electrical system failures in commercial or industrial settings.
2. Active Professional Engineering (PE) license, minimum required in the state.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Desire to learn, excel, and grow professionally.

Additional Qualifications:

1. Experience with expert witness testimony is a plus.
2. Multi-state PE licensing and/or active NCEES Record preferred.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements

1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
2. Ability to travel to various project sites.
3. Access and inspect all areas of mechanical, electrical, and IT equipment.
4. Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Salary Range

Estimated between $135,000 - $160,000, based on skills, experience, location, and responsibilities.
