Qualifications

• Completion of 60 college credits including nine credits in chemistry.
• Must meet PA residency requirement.
• Background check (CJIS) and compliance requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: maintenance checks, documentation, forensic standards.
• Reagent Preparation: prepare solutions, verify materials, inventory.
• Sample Handling: receive, log, barcode, prepare for processing and storage.
• Equipment Monitoring: check temp-sensitive instruments, clean areas, dispose waste.
• Vendor Verification: confirm calibrations/repairs and document results.
• Laboratory Support: data calculations, update protocols, support daily DNA lab ops.
