Qualifications

• One year as Forensic Scientist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent).
• One year as Forensic DNA Scientist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent).
• Two years of professional lab work in chemical/biological analysis with a bachelor’s degree incl. 16 chemistry credits.

Responsibilities

• Specimen analysis for forensic toxicology.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses for alcohol and drugs.
• Operate GC, LC-MS/MS, and LC-qTOF instruments.
• Review chromatographic and mass spectral data for testing conclusions.
• Participate in quality assurance tasks, method development, and documentation.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings explaining methods and findings.
