Job summary

Children's Service Center of Wyoming Valley is seeking a Forensic Court Case Manager in Luzerne County to identify individuals with mental illness within the criminal justice system and participate in mental health court eligibility assessments. The role links clients to community providers to support program completion.

The position requires advanced education in social services or criminal justice (Master’s preferred; Bachelor’s with experience).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or Social Service field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Service field with two years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify individuals diagnosed with mental illness within the criminal justice system.
• Participate in an assessment process to determine eligibility for Mental Health Court participation.
• Link clients with community providers and services to encourage completion of the program.

Purpose of This Position:The Luzerne County Forensic Court Case Manager identifies individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental illness and are involved in the criminal justice system. The case manager then participates in an assessment process to determine eligibility for participation in the Mental Health Court.
