Job summary

New Beginnings Counseling in Capitola, CA is seeking qualified associate clinicians (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) to join our forensic treatment program. You will conduct forensic evaluations, provide group and individual sex offender-specific treatment, and carry out case management within a fast-paced community setting.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred.
Experience providing treatment to adults and/or juveniles with sexually abusive, DV or Substance Abuse histories.
Understanding of the therapeutic process and commitment to helping clients achieve goals.
Dedication to preventing further sexual victimization and ability to address difficult issues with a challenging population.

Responsibilities

Conduct intakes and assessments for forensic clients including screenings and interviews.
Provide forensically informed support services to individuals with mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
Maintain comprehensive documentation (progress/treatment reports, assessments, notes) per agency policies and standards.
Maintain 60-65% direct clinical contact through individual and group psychotherapy.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders; adhere to ethical and professional standards.
