Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a qualified civil/structural engineer to provide forensic consulting services for insurance, legal, and industrial clients. You will assess causes of failures, prepare written reports, and provide expert testimony when needed.

You will manage multiple projects and coordinate with other experts to deliver timely client reports. The ideal candidate has a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, a P.E.

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or higher.
• A P.E. license is required in the state of employment, or the ability to obtain it quickly.
• NCEES record preferred.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Project Management and/or Field Investigation preferred.
• Depending on location, other licenses or certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Performs forensic assignments within civil/structural engineering based on scope and budget.
• Field Investigations: determine cause/origin of defects or failures and gather evidence.
• Preparation of oral and written reports documenting causes, extent of loss, and remediation.
• Manages multiple projects, coordinating with other experts to produce client reports promptly.
• Ensures safety and due diligence of the project.
