Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, microbiological, environmental or natural resource sciences with related chemistry lab coursework.
• Or Associate’s degree with two years of directly related chemistry laboratory experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quantity used, compile orders, obtain quotations and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation with repairs, upkeep, calibration checks and logs.
• Prepare chemical reagents/buffers and quality control samples with detailed logs; manage hazardous waste storage areas.
• Inventory sexual assault kits before analysis and ensure transfer of evidence between intake, vault and control units.
• Document receipts for supplies and maintain chemical logs; perform required quality control checks.
