Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/toxicology/forensic science and four years bench-level drug chemistry/toxicology experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
• Must obtain certification within eighteen months of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform casework on drug evidence including clandestine laboratory evidence and tempering/dilution cases.
• Prepare written reports of analyses and provide expert testimony in court.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform quality control tests on reagents, solvents, and instruments.
• Review peer laboratory reports to ensure compliance with SOPs and QA standards.
• Some travel, including occasional overnight stays, may be required.
