Job description

Job Title: Foremen, Carpenters, Laborers

McMillen, Inc. is seeking experienced Foremen, Carpenters, and Laborers for a project in Joseph, OR. Project starts July 20, 2026 and continues through end of 2027, with additional long‑term opportunities in the Western Region.

Schedule Requirements

Positions are expected to work a 6‑10 schedule, six 10‑hour shifts per week. Employees may also be assigned to swing shifts based on project demands.

Foreman Responsibilities

The Foreman oversees and facilitates all aspects of on‑site construction activities. They lead a crew of 1 to 20 persons, have hands‑on knowledge of execution elements, and work from pre‑construction with the Superintendent through project completion, contract closeout, and warranty.

Carpenter Responsibilities

The Carpenter fabricates, sets, and strips concrete forming systems and places, pours, repairs, and finishes concrete for heavy civil projects.

Laborer Responsibilities

The Laborer performs demolition, hydro‑blasting, dewatering, and pump management activities; experience with concrete batch plants is a plus. They assist other skilled crafts on the project and perform additional duties as needed.

Physical Demands

Essential functions require standing, walking, using hands, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and talking or hearing. Occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Range

$36.90 – $50.74 (DOE) base wage, prevailing wage plus zone pay. Per diem if temporarily assigned 70+ miles from residence.
