Job summary

MP Nexlevel, LLC Foreman position responsible for managing crew members to ensure underground utility construction is completed in an orderly, timely and cost-effective fashion. The Foreman may operate equipment, locate for HDD, and perform production activities to finish utility installations.

The role requires directing daily production, reviewing reports and time cards, coordinating with project staff, and enforcing a zero-incident safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License
  • Able to read blue prints and interpret job specifications, and use a computer to monitor production and submit reports/time sheets
  • 3-5 years experience in the underground utilities construction industry
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with employees and customers

Responsibilities

  • Lead crew to complete utility construction on time and within budget
  • Provide direction and production goals to crew
  • Complete daily reports including crew time cards and production data
  • Identify and report any change in scope to Project Supervisor/Manager
  • Monitor productivity and propose corrective actions to meet budgets
  • Capable of locating for directional drilling
  • Ensure work aligns with the contractual scope and obligations
  • Promote safety and a zero-incident culture
  • Maintain paperwork and records as needed

Job description

The Foreman manages crew members so that utility construction is completed in an orderly, timely and cost-effective fashion. When necessary, the Foreman operates equipment, locates for hdd, or performs production activities to complete installation of utilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete all phases within labor, material and equipment budgets
  • Responsible for providing direction and production goals to crew
  • Complete all daily reports accurately and timely (including crew time cards, production, redlines)
  • Identify and report any change in scope to Project Supervisor or Project Manager
  • Monitor productivity and propose corrective action necessary to meet the budgets established by the bid. Keep the Project Supervisor informed as to the progress of the project.
  • Capable of locating for directional driling
  • Understand contractual scope of work for each party and supervise assigned phases of work consistent with contractual obligations of each party
  • Improve personal, technical, and supervisory skills through personal development plans and offered trainings
  • Supervise all assigned projects consistent with a “zero incident” safety culture
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License
  • Able to read blue prints and accurately interpret job specifications and orders. Ability to use computer/electronic device to monitor production and submit reports and time sheets
  • 3-5 years experience in the underground utilities construction industry
  • Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and customers

Physical Demands:

  • Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
