Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson in Minnesota to supervise daily crew operations and enforce safety protocols. You will coordinate with management on hiring needs and ensure adherence to DOT and OSHA requirements on job sites. Career development includes training crew and mentoring employees.

The role emphasizes field leadership, efficient crew management, and strong customer relations while delivering quality tree-trimming services across active work sites.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Possess organizational skills and be able to multi-task.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power issues, and work scope with property owners; refers complex cases to supervisor.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations and crew conduct to ensure quality completion.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and optimizes use of personnel and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on order completion and incidents to foreperson and utility reps.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and signs to protect workers and the public in hazards.
• Inspects and arranges repairs to tools, trucks, and equipment.
