Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a Foreman for Traffic Signal and Roadway Lighting to lead a crew on municipal and utility projects.

You will plan, supervise, and coach crew members, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion of traffic signal and lighting work. Requirements include strong ability to read traffic signal plans, familiarity with standards (ODOT or equivalent), 5+ years of field experience, a Class A CDL, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and understanding plans for traffic signals, roadway lighting, and roadway signs.
• 5+ years of experience preferred, not required
• Proficiency with ODOT systems and standards for Traffic Signals, Roadway Lighting, and Signs.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Class A CDL
• Willing to travel

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Foreman is to ensure safe and successful completion of all work assigned to the crew. Specifically, the Foreman for Traffic Signal and Lighting must:

• Ensure all work is performed in the safest manner possible.
• Plan and supervise all work assigned to the crew.
• Coach and train crew members in the proper methods of performing the work.
• Maintain the proper care of assigned Elliot equipment and tools.
• Assume responsibility for the safety, quality, and professionalism of the crew.
