Job summary

Star Construction, LLC in Cottondale, AL is seeking a Foreman for our Telecom Underground team. You will lead crews, read blueprints, and ensure safety and timelines on projects across multiple Alabama locations.

You will work hourly with duties including crew training, coordinating with property owners, and operating heavy equipment in all weather. Prior foreman experience is a plus; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Previous Foreman experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Train crew members.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Ensure safety policies, OSHA, and DOT compliance.
• Assist Supervisor with daily activities.
• Discuss work with property owners and resolve issues.

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver's license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
