Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Foreman for our Telecom Underground team to lead crews in installation and maintenance of underground telecom systems while ensuring safety and project timelines.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, training crew members, coordinating with the supervisor, and communicating with property owners. The role requires a valid driver’s license and strong work ethic to perform in all weather and conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) and relevant work experience preferred.
• At least three years of related work experience; Foreman experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Assist Supervisor with day-to-day activities and training of crew members.
• Read and understand blueprints for underground telecom installations.
• Enforce safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations on site.
• Communicate with property owners about work scope and resolve issues.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and machinery; work in all weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
