Job summary

North Sky Communications LLC is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems on-site. You will guide junior crew members and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while meeting customer requirements.

The role requires lifting, climbing, operating bucket trucks and heavy equipment, and readiness to travel for storm response on short notice. Excellent leadership and hands-on skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe installation of fiber/telecom cables and structures per codes and requirements.
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators.
• Maintain safe work areas and ensure smooth traffic flow on site.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Provide guidance to crew and assist during storm response missions.
• Document productivity and safety via daily work orders.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class 'A' driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Foreman Telecom Aerial is $32.00 - $40.00.
