Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems in field operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding junior crew members on-site.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid CDL-A (preferred). DOT medical card and clean driving record are required. Willingness to travel for storm response is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the US.
• 3+ years of related field experience and a valid driving record.
• DOT physical exam passed with a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems according to codes and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and traffic flows smoothly on site.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Provide guidance and support to crew members as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
