Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC seeks a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems on site, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You’ll guide and support less experienced crew members to complete work efficiently.

Travel is required for storm response with short notice; the role emphasizes hands-on leadership, operating bucket trucks and other equipment, and documenting daily work orders for productivity and safety.

Qualifications

• To be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified.
• CDL Class A driver license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators.
• Ensure work areas are safe and traffic flows smoothly on site.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws).
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely : work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally : use keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Foreman Telecom Aerial is $15.00 - $25.00.
