Lambert's Cable is seeking an on-site Telecom Aerial Foreman in Appomattox, VA to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will serve as the on-site expert, guiding and supporting less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• DOT medical card / ability to pass DOT physical.
• Able to become certified as a pole climber or already certified.
• CDL Class A license preferred.

• Oversee installation of fiber/telecom cables and related structures per codes and customer requirements.
• Maintain safe work areas and manage on-site traffic flows.
• Work safely at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws) effectively and safely.
• Provide guidance and support to crew members.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
