City of Kenner seeks a capable supervisor for the Streets & Drainage Division in Public Works. The role involves leading crews, assigning work, and ensuring safe, efficient maintenance of roadways and related infrastructure.
You will train new staff, manage daily reports and schedules, and coordinate with superintendents on project needs. This on-site position requires staying on call for emergencies and adhering to city policies.
Under general supervision, provides leadership and direction of subordinate crew members in the Streets & Drainage Division of the Public Works Department in maintenance of roadways. Work involves supervising assigned crews; assigning and scheduling work; completing work documentation; performing the work of the crew as needed; and training new employees. Reports to the Superintendent.
Requires a high school diploma, GED, HiSet, or equivalent certification of competency with three years of experience in roadway maintenance or construction; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Must possess a valid Louisiana Class D driver’s license.
