Job summary

Kenny Electric, a Colorado-based electrical contractor, seeks a seasoned Foreman II to supervise project crews on industrial and commercial installations. The candidate will coordinate with BIM staff, manage procurement, and monitor schedules while maintaining compliance with NEC codes and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Valid Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
  • Six years of foreman-level experience.
  • Ability to manage two or more crews.
  • Extensive wiring system and electrical installation expertise.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Knowledge of NEC and area classifications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide project crews to deliver high-quality electrical work on schedule.
  • Plan layouts and installations based on specs and codes; coordinate MOPs.
  • Collaborate with BIM Specialist on project needs and material procurement.
  • Develop schedules and milestones; track progress and communicate changes.
  • Ensure NEC compliance, QA/QC labeling, and accurate daily documentation.
  • Mentor direct reports and support project closeout and site safety.

We are looking for driven and organized individuals who share the same pride and enthusiasm for the industry as we do.Purpose: The Foreman II’s primary responsibility involves overseeing, guiding, and supervising the project crew to ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets the satisfaction of our customers.Essential Duties include the following:Manages and leads crews on projects with workloads ranging from $500k to $1.5MOversees a team of up to three Journeymen and manages a workforce ranging from 6 to 15 employeesPlans and details projects thoroughly before starting, including layout and installation of electrical components based on specifications and codes; coordinates site MOPs (Methods of Procedure)Collaborates with BIM Specialist on project needsAssists with material procurement, including organizing and tracking purchase ordersDevelops project schedules and provides trade milestones to relevant staff; communicates with crew and project leadership to ensure coordination and satisfactory progressKeeps Project Manager informed of any project changes or delays; develops an understanding of project financials and assists the Project Manager as neededStudies and evaluates blueprints spec books, and tracks changes and as-builtsReviews and ensures project work’s compliance with current NEC codes throughout project lifecycleCoordinates with QA/QC on labeling and equipment turnoversCompletes daily project documentationInspects electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs while ensuring compliance with local codesAssists with project closeout processMentors and trains direct reports, evaluates and identifies future field leaders; ensures crew upholds Company policies and holds them accountable for performanceCompletes required employee evaluations and provides timely feedbackPerforms other assigned duties as neededQualifications/Requirements:Current Journeyman or Master Electrician with a Colorado licenseSix years of prior Foreman experienceAbility to run two or more crews on large and/or small projects and supervise, evaluate, and develop Lead Journeymen, Journeymen, and ApprenticesExtensive experience in wiring systems, all phases of project installation, electrical control work, troubleshooting, and purchasing of electrical material and partsKnowledge of current NEC and industry-related practices, including area classificationsHolds OSHA 30 Certification and current First Aid/CPR CertificationPhysical Requirements:Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered)Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areasAble to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and atticsAble to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overheadAble to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overheadAble to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overheadPossess good vision (normal or corrected)Must be able to get to various customer sites as requiredWork Environment: Able to work in all elements, depending on job locations and time of yearThe above statements are intended to reflect the principal duties of the position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
