Job summary

Lexicon, Inc. is seeking a Foreman to lead sheet metal crews on projects in Arkansas. This on-site role requires strong supervisory skills, safety awareness, and hands-on leadership to keep crews on schedule and within QA/QC standards.

You will coordinate tasks, support welders and fitters, prepare reports, liaise with clients and vendors, and uphold OSHA safety policies. Candidates should have 5+ years in sheet metal work and good communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience as sheet metal worker.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have good oral communication skills.
• Must have all the required hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of work crews engaged in sheet metal installation.
• Assist workers in performance of tasks, such as welding, bolting, erecting, assembling, and finishing.
• Responsible for the timely preparation of time sheets and work reports for Office Manager and Field Superintendent.
• Serve as a liaison with clients and vendors to provide project solutions.
• Responsible for adhering to all company safety program, QA/QC program, and OSHA regulations.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Foreman Overview:

The Foreman holds the critical responsibility of supervising a shift to ensure the timely and safe completion of assigned projects. This role is designated as 'safety-sensitive' because any failure to properly execute the essential or marginal duties could pose a threat to the health and safety of the employee, their colleagues, and the public.

Foreman Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of work crews engaged in sheet metal installation.

Foreman Qualifications:

Foreman Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet.
• Must be able to pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding up to 150 feet.
• Excessive amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields. All the physical demands listed are essential functions.
• Must be able to work long hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

This role is slated for current Lexicon Fabrication Team Members. Current Team Members will be given first priority.
