Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Foreman at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading a crew of skilled trade personnel in an area of the manufacturing organization with responsibility for fabrication and/or assembly of products for ship construction. The Foreman will oversee safety and security procedures, implement organizational policies and goals, measure performance against the budget, support management in budget analysis and adherence, assist in production control projects, manage work packs according to the production control plan, plan overtime, schedule resources, interface with management to revise project and facility objectives, and ensure compliance with union contract requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee safety and security procedures.


• Implement organizational policies and goals.


• Measure performance against the budget and support management in budget analysis and adherence.


• Assist in production control projects.


• Manage work packs in accordance with the production control plan.


• Plan overtime and schedule resources as required.


• Interface with management to revise project and facility objectives.


• Understand and work within union contract requirements.


• Enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise 1 to 30 employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. Demonstrates leadership skills aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values.
