Job summary

The Erosion Company is hiring a Foreman to lead a 2-3 person crew on erosion control projects across the Southeast. You will coordinate daily routes, supervise crew performance, and ensure safety and quality on each job.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, ability to pass a DOT physical, and English proficiency. Overtime is available during peak season; health insurance and 401k plans are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have prior work experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead.
• Must pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
• Must have valid drivers’ license and a clean MVR.
• Ability to follow directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and verify materials for daily jobs.
• Ensure safety standards and promote safety culture on site.
• Monitor project details and report progress to managers.
• Assist crew with loading/unloading materials.
• Assist with terrain preparation and site clean-up.
• Install erosion controls and use hand tools.
• Handle remaining materials after job completion.

Job description

The Erosion Company (TEC) is currently hiringa Foreman. TEC is the largest and most experienced contractor in providing comprehensive erosion control services, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up services to clients throughout the Southeast. TEC offers excellent pay based on experience and great long-term career potential for top performers!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate daily tasks according to scheduled routes.
• Responsible for monitor attendance and productivity of 2-3-person crew.
• Provide supervision and training to all crew members.
• Review daily work orders, inspect and verify that the materials loaded to the vehicle are adequate to complete the daily assignment.
• Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment, and resolve problems when they arise.
• Monitor and report to Area Quality Managers of project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities promptly.
• Assist crew members to load and unload materials as needed.
• Assist crew members to remove, fill, compact, and prepare the terrain.
• Install silt fencing and erosion control blankets using a variety of hand tools.
• Perform site clean-up and reload leftover materials after the job assignment is complete.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and three years verifiable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Must pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to understand/follow directions and take instructions in English.
• Physically able to walk, bend, squat, and lift to 50 lbs.
• Work under inclement weather conditions such as rain, heat, and cold.
• Must have prior work experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead.
• Must have prior experience in operating small machinery such as Bobcat and other excavating equipment.
• Prior experience driving ½ or ¾ ton trucks, with a 20+ foot trailer attached, fully loaded.
