Job summary

The Erosion Company, the Southeast’s leading erosion control contractor, is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews, oversee job site operations, and ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule in Greensboro, NC.

Ideal candidates will have construction and crew leadership experience, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and quality while maintaining efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Construction experience with crew leadership and supervision.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction safety and job-site procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of silt fencing, erosion control blankets, and other erosion control products.
• Manage materials, equipment, and job site cleanup.

• Communicate with management regarding job progress, materials, and crew performance.
• Train team members, solve problems, and keep operations running smoothly.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous construction experience and crew leadership experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction safety and job site procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, if required for assigned duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Erosion control, grading, or site work experience.
• Experience operating construction equipment, such as a Bobcat or skid steer.
• Experience driving trucks and towing trailers.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
