Job description

Are you an experienced data center infrastructure leader with a strong background in structured cabling, large-scale deployments, field operations, and team management?

We are seeking a Foreman – Data Center to lead the execution of network infrastructure, structured cabling, and technology deployment projects within mission-critical data center environments. This role serves as the primary field leader responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining quality and safety standards, driving productivity, and ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with customer requirements.

The ideal candidate combines expertise in data center construction, structured cabling, fiber and copper infrastructure, field operations, workforce leadership, QA/QC standards, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations Leadership
  • Serve as the onsite field leader supporting project execution activities.
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager to deliver project objectives.
  • Execute work according to project schedules, milestones, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate daily activities across field teams and installation crews.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Crew Management & Supervision
  • Lead and oversee multiple installation crews.
  • Assign work priorities and monitor productivity.
  • Manage labor resources to maximize efficiency and project success.
  • Forecast manpower needs and resource requirements.
  • Support workforce planning and deployment decisions.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to Leads and technicians.
Project Coordination
  • Work directly with:
  • Project Managers
  • QA/QC Personnel
  • General Contractors
  • Trade Partners
  • Customer Representatives
  • Attend project status meetings and operational reviews.
  • Track project milestones and completion targets.
  • Escalate risks, delays, and execution issues as necessary.
  • Support successful project delivery from kickoff through completion.
Data Center Infrastructure Deployment
  • Oversee installation and deployment of:
  • Structured Cabling Systems
  • Fiber Optic Infrastructure
  • Rack & Cabinet Systems
  • Support data center builds, expansions, upgrades, and retrofit projects.
  • Ensure installations meet customer and industry standards.
  • Support both new deployments and live production site activities.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
  • Ensure all installations comply with customer quality standards.
  • Review completed work with QA/QC teams before customer inspections.
  • Verify installation accuracy and workmanship quality.
  • Monitor adherence to installation procedures and best practices.
  • Identify and resolve quality concerns proactively.
Safety Management
  • Promote and enforce all workplace safety requirements.
  • Monitor job sites for safety compliance and hazard mitigation.
  • Ensure technicians follow established safety procedures.
  • Verify certifications and required safety standards are maintained.
  • Support incident prevention and continuous safety improvement.
Technical Oversight
  • Provide guidance and oversight for:
  • Fiber Installations
  • Fiber Terminations
  • Certifications & Testing
  • Infrastructure Troubleshooting
  • Validate technical work meets project specifications.
  • Assist teams with resolving field installation challenges.
  • Support implementation of new technologies and deployment methodologies.
Material & Inventory Management
  • Verify material requirements for assigned projects.
  • Ensure required materials are available for scheduled work.
  • Monitor material consumption and project inventory usage.
  • Coordinate with project teams regarding shortages or procurement needs.
  • Support efficient use of project resources.
  • Represent the organization professionally with customers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer build reviews and project discussions when required.
  • Ensure customer standards and expectations are consistently met.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support delivery of a positive customer experience.

Qualifications
Education
