Job summary

CableCom, LLC is seeking a Foreman Coax Splicing to lead field crews in safely performing coax splicing, testing, and repairs for aerial and underground networks. You will ensure adherence to standards, document work, and guide teammates on job sites.

The role requires 4+ years in coax splicing, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. This is an on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform coax splicing, troubleshooting, and testing both aerial and underground.
• Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Splice coax cable for underground transfers and assist with light labor duties.
• Document work in daily production reports, mark maps, and track material usage.
• Oversee and guide onsite workers to ensure safety and quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

At CableCom, LLC, as a Coax Splicing Foreman, you’ll complete the process of splicing coax cables, to build and maintain our telecommunication networks.Your splicing work is essential for keeping strong and reliable connections, ensuring data travels seamlessly through our continually growing network. You'll serve as the on-site expert, offering guidance and support to less experienced team members.

What you’ll do

• Safely perform coax splicing, troubleshooting, and testing both aerial and underground
• Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
• Splice coax cable for underground transfers and help with light laborer duties
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Oversee and guide other onsite workers to ensure tasks are done safely and correctly
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least four years of experience splicing, placing, and testing coax strands
• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles, keyboard, and mouse

The wage range for Foreman Coax Splicing is$25.00 - $35.00.
