Job summary

CableCom, LLC is seeking a Coax Splicing Foreman to safely splice coax cables for aerial and underground networks. You will lead on-site crews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure splicing quality and compliance with standards. Daily reporting and map updates are part of the role.

Candidates should have at least four years of coax splicing experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform coax splicing, troubleshooting, and testing both aerial and underground.
  • Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to guide team.
  • Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
  • Splice coax cable for underground transfers and assist with light laborer duties.
  • Document work via daily production reports, map updates, and material usage records.
  • Oversee and guide onsite workers to ensure tasks are done safely and correctly.

What You’ll Do
  • Safely perform coax splicing, troubleshooting, and testing both aerial and underground

  • Oversee and guide other onsite workers to ensure tasks are done safely and correctly
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
  • At least four years of experience splicing, placing, and testing coax strands
Additional Qualifications
  • Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
Physical Abilities & Exposures
  • Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
  • Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles, keyboard, and mouse

The wage range for Foreman Coax Splicing is $25.00 - $35.00.
