Job description

DRAGADOS USA is seeking a Foreman with carpentry experience to support the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel expansion project. The Foreman will work under the supervision of the Civil Superintendent. They will manage crews, material purchase orders, and help in planning for their crew in order to accomplish work in a timely manner and with the required quality to maintain safety and follow the schedule. Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and place form work for walls and slabs
  • Inspect equipment and rigging on a daily basis
  • Conduct toolbox talks
  • Maintain a safe environment
  • Coach crews in means and methods
  • Keep site clean and organized
  • Control quantities and tools needed for work in the future
  • Read and understand shop drawings
  • Setup formwork
  • Figure out quantities
  • Schedule concrete pours
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to read and understand heavy construction plans
  • Understanding of heavy equipment
  • 5-10 years’ experience in heavy civil construction
  • Previous heavy civil carpentry experience
  • Able to operate equipment
  • Previous experience leading crews

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Surveying experience a plus
  • Rigging experience
  • Able to work night or day shifts
