Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Golf Course Foreman to direct maintenance across all course areas under the superintendent's direction. You will supervise equipment operation, training, and project execution while upholding safety and company policies.

The ideal candidate has turfgrass knowledge, irrigation/dra drainage familiarity, and proven leadership, with a valid driver's license and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Clear communication across staff and supervisors.
• Experience with lawn care and course maintenance best practices.
• Ability to train and coach employees on procedures and safety.
• Familiarity with turfgrass management and irrigation systems.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct the maintenance of all course areas as defined by the superintendent.
• Supervise operation, maintenance, and repair of course equipment.
• Oversee special projects as directed by the superintendent.
• Manage and dispense supplies to support maintenance activities.
• Directly supervise and train golf course staff; provide feedback on performance.
• Identify issues and report to the superintendent promptly.
• Adhere to all regulations and BrightView safety policies.
• Represent BrightView professionally in appearance and conduct.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Direct the maintenance of all areas as defined by the superintendent or assistant superintendent
• Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course
• Supervise special projects as directed by the superintendent or assistant superintendent
• Manage and dispense supplies and materials to support maintenance activities
• Directly supervise and train golf course employees. Provide feedback on employee training and discipline.
• Identify problems and communicate promptly with the superintendent or assistant superintendent
• Protect the company's interest by an awareness of and compliance with all applicable regulations, includingcourse and company policies
• Administer all aspects of the BrightView Safety Program
• Represent BrightView Golf Course Maintenance positively and professionally, including attitude,appearance, and speech
• Maintain effective employee and public relations

Education And Experience

• Knowledge of turfgrass management
• Knowledge of irrigation and drainage principles
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Ability to operate and train on all pieces of equipment employed at the course
• Ability to apply as directed fertilizers, soil conditioners, and other control products
• Valid driver's license

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
• Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)
• You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
• Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.

Work Environment

• Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
• Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
• Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.

Compensation Pay Range

21.50 - 23.50
