Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled supervisor to coordinate and supervise operations in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry across the hospital complex. This role oversees technicians engaged in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of stationary motors and mechanical equipment, ensuring reliable heat, power and climate control.

We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job SummaryProvides general assistance in coordinating and supervising operations in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, as directed.Principally, provides immediate supervision to personnel engaged in the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of stationary motors and mechanical equipment such as sprinkler systems, alarm systems, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, heating and cooling system components, air conditioners pumps, compressors, and generator, to provide distribution of heat, power, gases, air pressure, water pressure, suction, carpentry, and other energy sources throughout the hospital complex.Qualifications-Provides general assistance to the foreman in the day-to-day management of the campus.-Schedules and assigns work by work order via the section foreman, form the preventive maintenance schedule, maintenance requisitions, or in response to trouble calls; establish priorities; estimates time and materials and workforce needed for each job; and advises supervisor accordingly, for planning purposes.-Provides on-the-job training or functional guidance as necessary to subordinate personnel; assigns work according to priority and ability to perform; monitors progress and performance of work.-Coordinates work with other trades and crafts relative to project involvement.
