Job summary

West Chester Township is seeking a Community Services Foreman to supervise maintenance staff and operate equipment across parks, cemeteries, roads, and storm water infrastructure. Typical hours are 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with 24/7 on-call for snow removal and emergencies.

The starting pay is $34.00/hour. The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid Ohio driver's license, and 1–3 years of supervisory and maintenance/construction experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License.
• 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory position.
• 1-3 years of experience in maintenance/construction.
• Preferred: Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 12 months (employer will pay for CDL).

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and oversee operations for parks, cemeteries, roads, storm water infrastructure, rights-of-way and facilities.
• Operate a variety of equipment for construction, repair and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure quality customer service to residents and uphold safety standards.
• Available for snow removal or other emergency duty 24/7 as needed.

Foreman

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Community Services Foreman position. A Foreman must have good oral and written communication skills and a commitment to provide excellent customer service to our residents. This supervisory level position of skilled and unskilled maintenance work is also responsible for operating a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of township parks, cemeteries, roads, storm water drainage infrastructure rights-of-way and facilities. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. Must be available for snow removal or other emergency duty 24/7 as needed. The starting pay is $34.00/hour.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
