Job summary

West Chester Township in Ohio is seeking a Community Services Foreman to supervise field crews, operate a variety of equipment, and oversee maintenance of parks, cemeteries, roads, and drainage. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with on-call snow removal duty.

Starting pay is $34.00 per hour; the role emphasizes customer service, safety, and integrity in serving residents of Ohio's largest township.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
• 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory position.
• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance/construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise skilled and unskilled maintenance work.
• Operate a variety of equipment for construction, repair, and maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance of parks, cemeteries, roads, storm water drainage, rights-of-way and facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and be available for 24/7 on-call emergencies, including snow removal.

Job description

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Community Services Foreman position. A Foreman must have good oral and written communication skills and a commitment to provide excellent customer service to our residents. This supervisory level position of skilled and unskilled maintenance work is also responsible for operating a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of township parks, cemeteries, roads, storm water drainage infrastructure rights-of-way and facilities. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm. Must be available for snow removal or other emergency duty 24/7 as needed. The starting pay is $34.00/hour.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License
• 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory position
• 1-3 years of experience in maintenance/construction

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in a supervisory position
• 5 years of experience in maintenance/construction
• Class A State of Ohio Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire. We will pay for CDL!
