Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Company is seeking a Foreman/Foreperson for utility line clearance. You will supervise crews, oversee line clearing and tree trimming for major electric utilities, and coordinate equipment and scheduling.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CDL Class A preferred, line clearance or pesticide licenses as needed, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and utility tree trimming experience. We offer PTO, 401(k) with match, employee ownership, health plan, and career development

Qualifications

Position Overview

The Davey Tree Surgery Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Foreman | Foreperson.

Job Duties

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers
• Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
• Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks
• Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber
• Ability to perform all above mentioned functions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license Class A, preferred but not required
• Certificates and Licenses if necessary
• Pesticide license, if required by state law
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred
