Job description

Foreman – Lean Manufacturing Leader

$30-36/HOUR DOE

What You’ll Be Doing

A Foreman is a key leadership position in our Puyallup facility. From start to finish, you are responsible for driving the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of precast concrete products. This is not a position for someone who simply manages production—it is for a leader who continuously improves it.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead by example on the production floor while partnering with production teams, quality personnel, supervisors, and yard operations to eliminate waste, improve flow, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

A Highlight Of Your Day-to-day Will Include
  • Leading from the front by working alongside production teams while setting clear expectations for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Driving Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, standard work, visual management, waste elimination, root‑cause problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying bottlenecks, reducing downtime, and improving workflow efficiency throughout the production process.
  • Coaching, developing, and holding team members accountable to performance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Reading production drawings, verifying dimensions, and ensuring products are built right the first time.
  • Monitoring production metrics and taking immediate action to address safety, quality, or productivity concerns.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and highly disciplined work environment that supports operational excellence.
Who We Are Looking For

You are a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You believe that every process can be improved and every team member can grow. You do not accept the phrase “that’s how we’ve always done it.” Instead, you challenge waste, solve problems at their source, and create systems that allow teams to succeed.

You have experience leading production or construction‑related teams and understand how to balance safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You are highly skilled at reading plans and are exceptionally proficient with measurements and dimensional accuracy. Most importantly, you lead with accountability, urgency, and respect.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
  • Experience leading teams in construction, manufacturing, precast concrete, or a similar production environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience implementing Lean principles and process improvements.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify root causes rather than temporary fixes.
  • A commitment to building a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • The ability to develop people, improve performance, and create engaged, high‑performing teams.
  • A desire to build a long‑term career with a company that values leadership, growth, and continuous improvement.

We are committed to ensuring employment practices that promote equal opportunities.
